Day 2 The Saga continues

Day 2 of my weight loss program. Already I have noticed that, as long as it is on my mind, and I think about it; its easy to stick with. My first thought this morning, besides wondering how Desiree was doing which is of course paramount to anything else at this point; was getting ready for a healthy breakfast, and looking forward to trying out new healthier foods.  I am going to try to post an inventory of what I eat each day, and people can make suggestions as I go along.

Since I was at Tim's house, and, I don't know if anyone has tried this stuff or not, it could not have come in to my life at a worse time. Publix Buffalo Chicken Dip is amazing, before the 1st of January, I think we went through a total of 8 things of that dip. So Jan 1 I had the following

  • 4oz Publix Brand Buffalo Chicken Dip
  • Hint of Lime Chips
  • 1 Tall Iced Caramel Macchiato Star Bucks (I normally get Venti, so this is where it started)
  • 1 Grilled Chicken Sandwhich from Wendies, and half of a small fry (Sea salt is delicious)
  • 1 20 oz G2 Gatoraid + About 13 more ozs

While that was not the most healthy menu of the day; it totally beats out anything I've eaten in the past.
On the way home I picked up some premixed salad, and some fat free salad dressing; I am going to eat that. I am going to try to find some good recipes for lettuce wraps, and do turkey lettuce wraps with vinaigrette dressing so I am going to try that out. If anyone has suggestions let me know.

Last night we also discovered that I have about 5 Mountain Dews left in the fridge, so I am making an executive decision on their future as we speak, and will keep you guys updated.

I was going to start the gym today, but realized that with the holidays just passed, and the fact that my gym shoes have a rather large hole in them; that the gym membership will have to wait until pay days; because now I'll need to get some different shoes; so I am going to put on a pair of shoes that I use to use for work; that while are not the best on my feat, are better then flip flops, and go for a walk.

I have gotten a lot of support from this thus far, and thank you all. I look forward to this journey and hope you all stick with me through this! If you see me falling off track, or not updating, call me, email me, yell at me do what ever!

That's it for now, see you next blog!

  3. Congrats on starting something I should do as well. I am 27 and I am 6 foot tall and weigh about 300 pounds and to be completely honest I have bigger breast then my wife who is flat chested by the way. lol. I am going to be going to collage in the fall to become a Diesel Mechanic and I am sure that losing weight would be a blessing when it comes to fitting into tight spots and getting hired by making the best impression.

One site I would recommend and I have only recommended because of the things I hear and how they help to motivate you and if your like me and play games I think you will find this site great. Its called Fitocracy and the best part is that its free. It works by Motivation. Activities earn you points. Points lead to level ups. Earn badges for significant achievements. The community will reward your hard work with props. Groups are small communities where you can talk about the things that really matter to you.

If you try it then I would really like to follow your blog and this will be the first blog I have ever followed. Not that you have to but I just thought you might like it. Let me know thanks.
